Wrapped in color, creativity, and charm, this 41-room jewel resides inside of three historic buildings combined into one—the first of its kind in all of downtown Columbia. Each historic building was meticulously restored to showcase the beauty of a bygone era through exposed brick, stamped tin ceiling tiles, deep moldings, and custom wood trim. At Hotel Trundle, where the comfort of your stay is paramount, the details matter. From the pillows that compliment the custom-built beds to the fragrances of an upscale bath amenity collection, it all blends into a visit that feels like a true home away from home. 

With backgrounds in architecture and passions for preservation, husband and wife team Marcus Munse and Rita Patel designed Hotel Trundle as a love letter to South Carolina’s Capital city. Along the way, they have rewritten the rules of Southern Hospitality with a unique blend of curated guest experiences and services, good old fashion thoughtfulness, and an eclectic, 20s-era Art Deco style.
